An Off-Off Broadway Play
Articulating The Arts: The Art of Protest: April 3 - 6 (April 3 - 5 @ 8pm; April 6 @ 7pm) at TADA Theatre 15 W. 28th St, NYC, 2nd Floor.
Last week I was a guest actress of The Articulate Theatre Company in a series of plays titled: The Art of Protest. These plays began as an inspiration taken from protest art - images created to protest and call for change in countries around the world, and over decades of struggle.
My play “Melting The Ice” was written by J.B Alexander and directed by Brock Hill.
Mark is determined to help his client reunite with her son, who was separated from her at the border. Finding he has a special relationship with the ICE agent in charge gives him hope. But loyalties are challenged in the face of red tape and bureaucracies.
Being a part of this production and movement was a true inspiration and reminded me how our voices can change the world by creating awareness.
